ALMiG marine compressors for the shipping industry

ALMiG offers special compressor series for the marine sector - reliable and robust.

ALMiG Marine Compressors - Keyvisual

The ALMiG marine compressors impress with their reliability, robustness (even at ambient temperatures of up to 50 °C) and a design structure that offers a high degree of flexibility while still being less expensive than conventional gearbox solutions. By replacing just a few components, it is possible to adapt economically and quickly to changing operating requirements (for example, changing final pressure). Our modern control systems, which are completely integrated in the compressor housing with a touch-screen control panel in the control cabinet, offer simple operability as well as a wide range of adjustment options for the important process parameters. Integration into a higher-level control system, also in the sense of Industry 4.0, is a matter of course for us.

In addition to the optimised design of the marine compressor, we guarantee rapid availability of all relevant spare and service parts through partners and dealers stationed worldwide. Through our customer service, we help you 24/7 directly on request via telephone or email.

Robust Marine compressors for cleaning and control air

Our single-stage, oil-injected, air-cooled screw compressors for ships, manufactured in Germany, impress with their compact arrangement of components and are suitable for installation near walls or even in corners.
All our marine compressors are manufactured in Germany in accordance with the requirements for CE marking.

  • Flow rates from 1.50 - 5.17 m³/min at 8 bar(g)
  • Compressors are also available for 10 or 12 bar(g)

Efficient Marine compressors for control and working air

Reliable, durable and energy-efficient are just some of the features of our marine compressors. A class-tested motor with overload protection and standstill heating ensures safe operation under tough conditions. Optional features such as oil heating, automatic self-start in case of voltage drop, external ammeter, special colour, halogen-free wiring, shock absorber, side-mounted cyclone separator or signal lamp for the standstill heater are all part of our standard marine product portfolio.
The highly efficient ALMiG marine compressor meets the high ALMiG quality standards of all compressor series, is individually tested and certified by a representative of the ship classification society (acceptance according to customer requirements).

  • Flow rates from 4.33 - 8.67 m³/min at 8 bar(g) or 12 bar(g)
  • Alternative versions with fresh water or sea water cooling available on request

Water-cooled marine compressors up to 500 kW

ALMiG offers marine compressors up to 500 kW for nitrogen generation, air lubrication and bulk loading and unloading.

This marine compressor range includes an open, cost-saving design, a robust drive motor with high power reserves and an extremely compact arrangement, which means that the marine compressor has a small footprint, starting at 1.5 m². Sensible features such as a cyclone separator installed on the side, an integrated water filter for fresh water cooling or a high degree of monitoring by additional sensors ensure optimum, trouble-free operation. The use of motors with the highest efficiency, compressor stages developed and produced in-house and a design with the lowest possible internal pressure losses add up to a double-digit efficiency advantage over the competition.

  • Flow rates from 10.43 - 68.80 m³/min at 8 bar(g)
  • Alternative versions with sea water cooling available on request

Approvals of the ship classification societies

Our marine compressors includes all the necessary approvals from ship classification societies such as ABS, BV, CCS, DNV/GL, KR, LROS, ClassNK, RINA or RMRS.

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified company

Our quality management system includes all business processes from the customer enquiry to the finished product. Continuous improvements and regular employee training are important system elements.
